Mrs. Teodora O. (Lola) Paiz, 64, was called into the gates of heaven on December 27, 2002.  She was born on April 1, 1938 in Pettus, Texas to Mr. Genaro Ochoa and Emeteria Salinas.  Mrs. Paiz was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.  Mrs. Paiz was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio on June 9, 1979, two sisters, Albertina O. Alvarez on May 4, 2000, and Carolina O. Garza on May 6, 2000, her paternal grandparents Doroteo and Leonarda Ochoa, and her maternal grandparents, Francisco and Norberta Salinas.

She is survived by one son, Juanito Ochoa Paiz of Beeville, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Ann Paiz (James) Aguirre and Diana (Marco) Garcia both of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Mary (Johnny) Garza of Beeville, Texas; four grandchildren, Felicia A. Cantu, Jessie Marie Cantu, Gabriella Garcia, and Karina Emeteria Garcia.

Visitation was held at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 28, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. 

Mass of resurrection was held on Monday, December 30, 2002 at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala.  Interment was followed at Beeville Memorial Park.  Pallbearers were Luz Garza, Benjamin Garza, Juan Ricardo Garza, Phillip Alvarez, Manuel Villarreal, and David Sanchez, Jr.  Honorary Pallbearers were Alfred Ortiz, Joe Trevino, Higinio Casarez, and Francisco Cardenas.

 When we stop looking at whatever troubles us, and turn in faith to God, the source of good, the  difficulty disappears and a new condition takes its place.
