The Bee County Chamber of Commerce/CVB held the 14th Annual
Hotter Than Ever Bicycle Classic on Saturday, July 9th. The
ride this year drew over 100 riders from all across the
state. All were complimentary of the fantastic support they
received on the ride. We would like to thank the following
individuals, organizations and businesses that helped make
this year’s event the most successful and enjoyable ever:
Preferred Ambulance Service,
Superior Auto Sales, the City of Beeville, The Lone Star
Riders of the Purple Sage into the Rays of the Setting Sun
Motorcycle Touring Club de Beeville, Bee County Sheriff’s
Dept., Beeville PD, Bee County Coliseum, Rick Vestal for
the use of his mower, Dewayne Bowman, Jr. for the use of
a trailer, Exclusive Nursing & Hospice, David Wagner &
Christus Spohn Hospital, John Eiland & Friends, Carol
Polosek, HEB Food Store of Beeville, Beeville Wal Mart,
Jan McGuffin, Laura Molina, Rosa Sanchez, Centerpoint
Energy Entex and the many Beeville merchants who
contributed items for the goody bags. Special thanks go
to Ray Waugh for the web page, mowing the rest stops, and
for taking all the pictures, Kicker 106 and the Beeville
Bee Picayune for the outstanding coverage of this year’s
event. Thanks again for your generous contributions.
Without your help this event would not have been a
success.
The ride this year brought in 100 + riders from Corpus
Christi, Houston, Victoria, Austin, Anchorage Alaska, Three
Rivers, Kingsville, Refugio, Goliad, Rockport, George West,
Mathis, Portland, Sugerland, Odom, Atascosa, San Antonio,
Seguin, Telferner, Missouri City, Bishop, and several riders
from Bee County.
