Mr. Raul Rivas Rodriguez, 66 was called into the gates of Heaven on Friday, January 10, 2003.  He was born on October 17, 1936 in Mineral, Texas. 

Mr. Rodriguez was a retired custodian for the Pawnee Independent School Dist. 

Raul was preceded in death by his parents Andres Rodriguez and Fidela Rivas. 

He is survived by his wife Maria Garcia Rodriguez of Mineral, Texas. One daughter: Christina Martinez of Angleton, Tx. ,: One son Eric Stephen Martinez of Angleton, Tx.: Two brothers Jose Rodriguez and Jimmy Garcia both of Corpus Christi, Tx.: Five sisters: Sarah Rodriguez, Mamie Romero and Lydia Sherman all of Corpus Christi, Tx., Adella Castro and Margaret Quintanilla both of Houston, Tx.; Four grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren.

Prayer service was held on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service was held on Sunday, January 12, 2003 at Trevino Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Burial was followed at the Mineral Cemetery in Mineral , Tx. Pallbearers were Robert Martinez, Jimmy Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez, Robert Romero and Tommy Rodriguez.
