Joe was retired from the Civil Service after 26 years of faithful service at NAS Chase field. Mr. Salazar was honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States Army on March 31, 1961 and received certificates by the VFW in recognition of his involvement in their Political Action Committee, Joe enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends and always talked about the good old times. Joe was preceded in death by his father Jovenal Salazar, and his mother Segunda Vasquez.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at 7:30 pm at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2:15 on Friday, February 28, 2003 at St. James Catholic Church with Deacon Manuel Carranco officiating. Interment follows at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with full Military Honors conducted for Mr. Salazar who proudly served and defended our Country, the United States of America.
