Mr.
Domingo Garza, 84, was taken by the wings of
beautiful Angels into the Gates of Heaven on
Friday, February 14, 2003. Domingo was born
on November 16, 1918 in Beeville, Texas.
He was preceded in
death by his parents Pedro Garza and Antonia
Peralta , two brothers; Felipe and Benito Garza ;
two sisters; Olivia Rosales and Marina Pena and
his loving wife Ramona Garza.
Domingo
enjoyed ranching and spending quality time with
his family, making them laugh and talking about
the good things in life and always family values.
He is survived by
three brothers; Raul Garza Sr., and Margarito
Garza Sr. both of Beeville, Texas and Antonio
Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas; one Great Niece;
Sandra Perez of Refugio, Texas and several nieces
and nephews.
Rosary was recited at
7:30 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel on
Sunday, February 16, 2003. Mass of Resurrection
was held on Monday, February 17, 2003 at 10:00
a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev.
Lowery Ross officiating. Interment was followed
at Our Lady of Victory # 2 Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Raul Garza Jr., Margarito Garza Jr.,
Fernando Garza, Benito Garza Jr., Charlie Ulrich
and Steve Perez Honorary Pallbearers were Juan
and Pete Garza.
Birds
of Paradise were released by the family. The
five white doves brought an exceptionally powerful
way to say their final goodbye, leaving a
beautiful memory in the hearts of all who attended
and watched them circled the area and rise towards
heaven to begin their journey home.
We cannot merely
pray to you, O God, to end war;
For we know that You have made the world in a way
That man must find his own path to peace Within
himself and with his neighbor.
