Bobby Joe Rice Jr

On May 2, 2003 Angels from Heaven carried Bobby Joe Rice Jr. into the Arms of Our Loving Lord. Bobby was born in Seguin, Texas. On May 2, 1969. He was taken into the Gates of Heaven at the age of 34.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother Carol Bozman Carlson and now they will be together forever.

Bobby enjoyed the outdoors and spending quality time with his wife and B.J. Bobby enjoyed going to the lake and being outside. He liked water skiing, snow skiing, shooting target practice and just being with the people he loved. Bobby was the owner of Rice plumbing and was very devoted to his profession.

He is survived by his loving wife Tonja Mae Rice, his son Bobby Joe Rice III both of Beeville, Texas. His father; Bobby Joe Rice Sr. of Pettus, Texas; 2 brothers; Zion Kole (Ashli) Carlson and Brian Paul Carlson both of Beeville, Texas; 3 sisters: Mary (Keith) Elizabeth Markley of Beeville, Texas, Jo Ann Rene (Eddie) Davidson of Snyder, Texas. And Shel’Lee Lucele Carlson of Beeville, Texas. And two very special persons in his life Mr. David Paul Carlson who raised Bobby. And Bobby’s best friend Dr. Robert William Garcia M.D. who always gave him good advice and was there to lend a helping hand.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. Graveside service were held on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery with Mr. C.R. Pendley officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Zion Carlson, Eddie Davidson, Robert Garcia, Matthew Henry, David Gonzales and Howard Pendley.

God’s hand is on your life;

He walks with you in good times,
He carries you through strife.
I know this time is trying
